Aesthetic Realism Looks at New York City: Poetry
Robert Clairmont
TO SYLVIA ON GOING THROUGH
THE P.R.R. HUDSON TUBES
If you
Dangle
Your hand
Outside the window
And grind your knuckles along the cement wall
Red blood
Will spurt,
The bones of your hand will stick through your flesh
And your veins
Will
Burst.
